Mr. Allen is
President and Chief Executive Officer of Genesis Employee
Benefits, a
nationwide health care savings and reimbursement plan administrator headquartered in Minneapolis,
Minnesota. He has more than 20 years of employee benefits
consulting and advisory experience working with public and private sector employers
across the United States.
Mr. Allen has served
in an executive level capacity for employee benefits consulting
and technology firms since 1988. He has a thorough working
knowledge of all aspects of employee benefits plan design,
funding, administration, regulatory compliance, benefit
communication, and new technologies. He is a nationally
recognized thought leader and speaker on the subject of healthcare cost management
strategies and alternative funding programs for retiree health
care benefits. In 1998 he founded and led the development of The
Minnesota Public School Employees Health Care Initiative; an
organization created to explore potential solutions to the
spiraling costs of delivering health care benefits to
Minnesota's public school employees and retirees. He is also a
faculty member of
Kaplan
Professional Schools where he teaches continuing
professional education courses on various employee benefits
topics.
Mr. Allen is
active in many professional associations and civic
organizations, both locally and nationally, and has received
numerous awards and recognition for excellence in the benefits
field throughout his career.
